昭和三七年名古屋市生まれ。東京学芸大学附属高等学校大泉校舎卒。１９８６年立教大学経済学部経済学科卒。某大手都銀に勤務後、１９９２年カンザス大学法律大学院で博士号(J.D.) を取得。１９９３年ハワイで弁護士登録。　国際私法と日本関連のビジネス法務のほかに、日本人としては珍しく、米国民事訴訟を専門としており、その活躍ぶりは幾つかの判例として記録されてる。
